There will be a Celiac seminar and expo sponsored by the Fremont Area Celiac Support Group, Kristens Gluten Free Food and HyVee at the Health Plaza Auditorium in the Fremont Area Medical Center in conjunction with the Fremont Area Celiac Support Group. This event will be held October 1, 2011 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m
A lineup of speakers will include the following:
Dr. Jason Wiese, DC, BS, whom will speak on “Austism and the Brain/Body Connection”. Dr. Wiese is a proficient doctor and doctor of chiropractic at Life Source Chiropractic, Omaha and former KKAR radio co-host of Health Watch.
Kyle Dahl, MS, PhD/Spring Dahl, MS, PhD, whom will cover “Gluten Free: A Mom and Dad’s Personal and Professional Perspectives”. Kyle is a food regulatory consultant who teaches food law and regulations through Kaplan University.

Shelly Asplin, MA, RD, LMNT, whom willl cover “Gluten FRee in the Schools” . Shelly is a nutritional program coordinator of CSA.
Julie Kamphaus, RN, MSN, certified diabetes educator, whom will cover “Celiac-Sprue and Diabetes: Is There a Relationship?”. Julie is a certified diabetes educator.
There will also be vendors at the event to answer your questions about celiac disease as well as demonstrate nutritional products to help you manage your gluten intolerance. Some of the vendors include Juice Plus Nutritional Supplement Products, Arbonne Health and Beauty Products, Kristens Gluten Free Food, Fremont’s Hy-Bee, Celiac Sprue Association, Life Source Chiropractic of Omaha as well as others.
